Project Narrative:
Peterborough City Council committed £10.0m via an ‘Invest to Save’ budget to look to reduce the recorded numbers of homelessness across the city region.
Kinver Business Solutions Ltd were appointed by the Council to initiate the project, work with internal stakeholders and design the processes and procedures. The engagement included the responsibility for sourcing a mixed portfolio of properties against a Needs Matrix.
Careful market consideration was required to ensure the programme didn’t overly impact upon the local housing market. As such the properties identified were across the entire city region and varied in mix and price.
Originally requested to complete the project before the end of the financial year (March 2019) the programme was completed 1 month early in February 2019. Financial savings were achieved against the original budget.
