Project Narrative:
The Hinckley & District Museum has been successful in receiving HLF Resilience Funding to assist with the review of the museum operations and the completion of an Options Appraisal.
We have been appointed to complete the Options Appraisal. The project commenced with several workshops with the Board of Trustees to collect their understanding and desires for the museum. We looked at where the museum was 5 years ago, where it is today and what they want the museum to be in 5 years’ time.
The process challenged the Board of Trustees to clearly outline where they wanted the museum to be, to understand and challenge the perceived blockages.
The project also includes for discussions with external stakeholders so that the museum benefits from others lessons and that the perceived blockages are challenged with external stakeholders.
The Options Appraisal will be the cornerstone document for the Trust to use as it looks to develop its delivery options for the short and medium term.
