Project Narrative:

We were appointed by Oxford City Council to oversee their high-rise refurbishment project. The scheme represents the largest capital improvement scheme ever undertaken by Oxford City Council.

The scheme includes for the refurbishment of five individual high-rise tower blocks, with residents remaining insitu during the works.

The scheme has experienced a number of challenges, mainly the aftermath of the tragic events at Grenfell Tower. We oversaw the immediate review of all five tower blocks, two of which required the newly installed cladding to be removed and replaced.

The cladding was removed and replaced and Oxford City Council were one of the first Councils in the country to achieve this and report through to central government.

Additionally, our involvement has seen the project continue to remain on track financially and the final account and completion will be achieved during 2019.

The towers benefit from having new sprinkler systems installed, as well, as replacement heating, ventilation, windows and communal improvement works.
