Key KBS Ltd deliverables: Refurbishment of three vacant retail units on Lowmoor Road (high-street) within the town centre of Kirkby in Ashfield and owned by Ashfield District Council. The refurbishment will repurpose the property into a ground floor indoor hub space for up to approx. 9 mini units, with first floor residential accommodation.

Project Narrative:

Lowmoor Road project forms part of the Towns Fund Accelerator programme funded by Central Government and therefore the repurpose of these long-term vacant units must achieve practical completion by the end of March 2021.
We are providing an enhanced project management service to ensure the project design and construction is completed within the 5-month deadline and we will be supporting the design team and the regeneration department of Ashfield District Council to achieve this.

The layout of the ground floor refurbishment will be based around the successful model used at Idlewells Indoor Market, Sutton in Ashfield and will include the replacement of the existing security shutters to the front of the property and the view to incorporate a canopy for a café business within one of the internal units.
