Project Narrative:

The Uttoxeter Museum of Life has been successfully awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund for the restoration of the 17th Century Cottage and the creation of a new multi-purpose space and kitchen facilities. The project will also see increased levels of interpretation and a greater proportion of the museum collection on display for visitors.

Kinver Business Solutions Ltd were brought in to assist the then Project Director with the procurement of the capital works and the management of the external consultants.

The role was extended in scope when the Project Director left the project for family reasons. We now carry out the role of Project Director which also encompasses the original remit.

We are responsible for the overall project delivery, including all internal and external reporting. The assessment and improvement of the project governance and we are currently working on an increased fundraising strategy.

For historical reasons the original HLF grant has proved to be insufficient for the original scope of works, and we have recently submitted a Grant Increase request to the HLF for their consideration.
